  • Rhode Island’s First Truck-Toll Gantry Installed on Route 95 - February 16, 2018 - The first of more than a dozen new Rhode Island truck-toll gantries now stands above Route 95 South in Exeter.

  • Tollway willing, able to take over I-80, official says

    Chicago Tribune - February 15, 2018 - The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) is ready, willing and financially able to take over Interstate 80 — if there is the political will to make it happen, a tollway official told the Will County board Thursday morning.

    Tollway Chairman Bob Schillerstrom was invited to the meeting to discuss needed improvements to the interstate, where congestion and truck traffic have created safety issues. County officials indicated they are willing to partner with the tollway to move this concept forward. Read more >>

  • Maine bill calls for all-electronic tolls on turnpike

    Landline Mag - February 15, 2018 - A Maine bill calls for directing the Maine Turnpike Authority to install and implement an all-electronic tolling, or AET, system for any new or rebuilt toll facilities.

    The Turnpike Authority is planning to build a new toll facility in the town of York. The cost to replace the existing toll facility at the turnpike’s southern end is estimated at $41 million. Read more >>
